# Getting Started with Plesk on Noiz Hosting

This guide walks you through the first things to do once you have logged in to Plesk on your Noiz hosting, in the order a new site usually needs them. It points you at the detailed guide for each task rather than repeating it.

**Last reviewed:** 1 August 2026, against the current Plesk version Noiz runs. It complements the official Plesk documentation.

## 1. Log in to Plesk

If you have not already, sign in to your Plesk panel. The login routes and what to do if you cannot get in are in [How to Log In to Plesk](/plesk/how-to-log-in-to-plesk/).

## 2. Add your domain

Your website needs a domain before anything else. If your account did not come with one set up, add it: [How to Add a New Domain in Plesk](/plesk/how-to-add-a-new-domain-in-plesk/). The domain also needs to point at your hosting, which is covered in [How to Point Your Domain to Noiz Hosting](/domains-dns/how-to-point-your-domain-to-noiz-hosting/).

## 3. Put something on the site

Most Noiz sites are one of two things:

- **WordPress**: the quickest way to a working site. In Plesk, WordPress is installed and managed with **WP Toolkit**, under **WordPress** in the sidebar: see [Installing WordPress](https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/customer-guide/wp-toolkit.79128/#installing-wordpress) in the Plesk WP Toolkit guide, then the [WordPress section](/wordpress/) for everything after that.
- **Your own files**: upload your site with the Plesk File Manager or over FTP. See [How to Create Files and Directories in the Plesk File Manager](/plesk/how-to-create-files-and-directories-in-the-plesk-file-manager/) and [How to Create an FTP Account in Plesk](/plesk/how-to-create-an-ftp-account-in-plesk/).

## 4. Create a mailbox

Set up email on your domain: [How to Create an Email Address in Plesk](/plesk/how-to-create-an-email-address-in-plesk/). Then read it on the web ([How to Access Email from Plesk Webmail](/plesk/how-to-access-email-from-plesk-webmail/)) or set it up on your phone or computer from the [Email section](/email/).

## 5. Secure and back up

- **SSL:** secure the site with a free Let's Encrypt certificate so it loads over `https`. In Plesk this is under **Websites & Domains**, your domain, **SSL/TLS Certificates**: see [Securing Connections with the SSL It! Extension](https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/customer-guide/websites-and-domains/securing-connections-with-ssltls-certificates/securing-connections-with-the-ssl-it%21-extension.65160/) in the Plesk guide.
- **Backup:** turn on a backup so the site can be restored if something goes wrong: [Plesk Backup Overview](/plesk/plesk-backup-overview/) and [How to Configure Local Backups in Plesk for a Subscription](/plesk/how-to-configure-local-backups-in-plesk-for-a-subscription/).

## What next

The [Plesk section](/plesk/) has guides for every common task: databases, scheduled tasks, redirects, subdomains, backups and more. If you get stuck, [contact Noiz support](/getting-started/how-to-contact-noiz-for-support/).
